Samsung Sells 100 Million Galaxy S Smartphones

Samsung has announced another milestone in sales of its Galaxy smartphones, the company has now announced that they have sold over 100 million Galaxy S smartphones since the original Galaxy S was introduced.

Samsung sold a total of 25 million of their original Galaxy S smartphone, and 40 ,million of the Galaxy S II, and their latest model, the Galaxy S III has sold a total of 41 million handsets.

Nokia Lumia 920 and Nokia Lumia 820 shipped with Portico update

It was last year that U.S. and Canadian models of the Windows Phone 8 powered Nokia Lumia 920 received the platform’s first OTA update named “Portico”. The update upped the stability of the device and repaired some issues that were affecting the camera. For instance, some pictures taken in daylight were looking fuzzy. We can’t have that.

Metro PCS Announces Three New Data Plans

Metro PCS has announced three new data and calling plans for its network, according to the company these three new plans are ‘simple plans for a simpler life’, and they come with unlimited voice and texts, whilst one plan features unlimited data.

The three plans are priced at $40 per month, $50 per month and $60 per month, the $40 per month plan will get you 500MB of 4G data, the $50 plan comes with 2.5GB of 4G data.

Titanium Gray Samung Galaxy S III Lands On T-Mobile

US mobile carrier T-Mobile is now offering the titanium gray model of Samsung’s Galaxy S III smartphone, the device is available with 16GB of storage and it replaces the pebble blue model that was previous available.

The pebble blue version of the Samsung Galaxy S III is still available in the 32GB version, although it appears that the pebble blue version will only be sold online in the future and not through T-Mobile stores in the US.

Samsung Galaxy S III Mini Coming In Four New Colors

Samsung launched their Galaxy S III mini a while back, and now the company has announced that they will be making the device available in a range of four new colors, the handset is available in white and blue at the moment.

Nokia Sells 4.4 Million Lumia Windows Phone Handsets In Quarter 4 2012

It would appear that things could be looking up for Nokia, and the Lumia range of Windows Phone smartphones, as the company has released some details on how many Lumia devices they sold in quarter 4 of 2012.

Nokia managed to sell a total of 4.4 million Nokia Lumia Windows Phone devices in the last quarter of 2012, and they sold a total of 15.9 million smartphones, which includes the 4.4 million Lumia handsets, 2.2 million Symbian devices and 9.3 million Asha devices.

Nokia Lumia 920 And 820 Launched In India

Nokia has announced that it is launching its latest Windows Phone 8 smartphones in India, the Nokia Lumia 920 and Nokia Lumia 920 will be available in India from this Friday.

On top of that Nokia has also announced that they will be launching the Nokia Lumia 620 in India next month, and the Nokia Lumia 920 will retail for INR38,199 which works out at around $698 in India.

Samsung Shows Of Youm Flexible Display At CES 2013

We have previously seen Samsung’s flexible smartphone display, which is called Youm, and now the company has show it off again at this years CES, although this time the Youm display was showing off in a working prototype device.

Samsung are expected to put their new Youm flexible displays into production some time this year, as yet we do not know whether we will see the display in any of Samsung’s or other manufactures devices this year.

RIM To Launch Six BlackBerry 10 Devices In 2013

We know that RIM will have two new BlackBerry 10 smartphones at the official launch of the BlackBerry 10 OS on the 30th of January, the BlackBerry Z10 and another BlackBerry Curve style device.
