Motorola FLIPOUT Android Smatphone Gets Official

Motorola has announced their latest smartphone which is powered by Google’s Android OS, the Motorola FLIPOUT. The Motorola FLIPOUT features a 2.8 inch QVGA touchscreen display and a full QWERTY keyboard that flips out, hence the name.

The Motorola FLIPOUT will come with Android 2.1, and features a three megapixel fixed focus camera and 3G UMTS, and it comes with 512MB of built in memory and a microSD card slot.

Skype iPhone 3G Calls To Be Free Until 2011

Skype recently updated its iPhone application to allow you to make Skype to Skype calls over 3G. When Skype announced the update, they also said that they would start charging users a small monthly fee for the service from August 2010.

Well it seems like Skype has change their mind and Skype to Skype calls on the iPhone over 3G will continue to be free until the end of 2010.

Intel’s Knights Corner Processor Features 50 Cores

Intel has shown off a new processor, that is called the Knights Corner, and it features a total of 50 cores. According to Intel the Knights Corner is an energy efficient 22-nanometer processor that will have a total of fifty cores on a single chip.

Intel have also said that the chip design isn’t tied to any particular platform, so it could be used with basically any OS like Mac OS X and Windows.

Google Chrome OS To Launch In Q4 2010

It looks like Google [GOOG] is getting ready to release its Chrome OS before the end of the year. Sundar Pichai, who is Google’s Vice President  for product management announced at Computex that Google intends to launch their Chrome OS in ‘late autumn’ this year.

Google’s Chrome OS was initially designed for netbooks and notebooks, and a number of manufacturers like Acer are working on netbooks which will run the Google Chrome OS.

AT&T Unlimited iPad Data Plan Changed To 2GB A Month

As well as announcing the new iPhone tethering plan AT&T has also announced that it is making changes to the iPad data plans for new customers.

The existing unlimited iPad data plan costs $30 a month, but from June the 7th 2010 this plan will no longer be available, instead new customers will pay $25 a month for a 2GB data plan.

AT&T iPhone Tethering Pricing Announced

iPhone users on AT&T’s mobile network have been waiting for the option to tether their iPhone and use it as a modem with their PC or Mac, it looks like tethering is about to hit the iPhone.

Tethering on the iPhone with AT&T will cost you an extra $20 a month, there is just a slight catch though as this will only be available with AT&T’s Data Pro Plan, which is limited to 2GB of data per month, and is not unlimited like th current iPhone data plans.

Microsoft Responds To Google Stopping Employees Using Windows

Yesterday we reported that Google had told its employees that they would no longer be able to have Microsoft Windows on a new computer, they would either have to choose between an Apple Mac or a Linux based PC.

Google is yet to confirm this, according to reports the reason Google is doing this is because of security concerns over Microsoft Windows, well now Microsoft has responded on their Windows Blog.
