Acer has added another Android smartphone to their range, the Acer Liquid Z3 which comes with a 3.5 inch display and a dual core 1.7GHz processor and 4GB of built in storage.

The Acer Liquid Z3 will come with Android 4.2 Jelly Bean and features a 3 megapixel rear facing camera, it also comes with WiFi, GPS and HSPA+.

Android Hits 80 Percent Of Global Smartphone Market In Q2

Google’s Android platform has become increasingly popular over the last few years, and according to a recent report by Strategy Analytics, Android took 80 percent of the global smartphone market in quarter two of 2013.

According to the report a total of 182.6 million Android smartphones were shipped in quarter two, this gave Android a 79.5 percent share of the global smartphone market.

Samsung Galaxy Note 3 LTE Turns Up In Benchmarks

The Samsung Galaxy Note 3 has turned up again in the AnTuTu benchmarks, this version of the Samsung Galaxy Note 3 is apparently the LTE variant and the benchmark’s confirm the handsets 2.3GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 processor, it appeared with the model number SM-N9005.

We previously saw the same device in the GFX Bench, and now it has appeared again with Android 4.3 Jelly Bean. Samsung are also expected to release another version of the handset with a Samsung Exynos Octa 5420 processor.

Rumor: Galaxy S4 Mini Heading to Verizon

Samsung launched the miniature version of their flagship smarphone last month – Galaxy S4 Mini. The device was launched as an international device meaning that no carrier was offering the device at a subsidized rate in the US. However, it appears that the Big Red — Verizon — might offer it to it’s customers in the near future. A number of photos have leaked on the internet with the model number SCH-I435, showing the device with a Verizon logo on it. Android Device Manager Hitting Android Devices Worldwide

The search engine giant announced yesterday that “Find My iPhone” type service – Android Devices Manager – will be hitting the Android devices this month, which will help users locate their lost or stolen devices and wipe out the phone remotely. It appears as the service is being pushed to devices and will be released worldwide. The standalone device manager and the web service has not been launched yet but we do hope that they will debut very soon.
