Google Nexus 5 Retail Boxes at LG Canada Distribution Center

It looks like the moment we’re all waiting for is near, the launch of the long-rumored Google Nexus 5. Yesterday, we saw a leaked press render of the Google Nexus 5 in white with an expected launch date of 1st November by @evleaks, which could be wrong. But the truth is, it’s the worst kept secret of the search engine giant as the handset even made a short appearance on the Google Play Store.

Now, to add more juice to the existing rumors, a user on NeoGAF forums posted an image that appears to be of the LG Canada’s distribution center that shows piles of purported Google Nexus 5 retail boxes getting ready for shipment. It seems that Canada will have 30,000 Google Nexus 5s allocated at launch, according to posting. Just remember, nothing is official until it’s announced by Gooogle so let’s just take this with a pinch of salt.

Google Nexus 5 Full Specifications Revealed By Wind Mobile

It looks like we finally have the Google Nexus 5 full specifications, as the handset was posted on Wind Mobile’s Facebook page, along with all of the specifications, the post has now been removed.

The Google Nexus 5 will come with Android 4.4 Kit Kat and will feature a 4.95 inch full high definition display with a resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels, it will feature 445 pixels per inch (ppi) and Corning Gorilla Glass 3.

Verizon HTC One Android 4.3 Update Delayed

HTC One Android 4.3 update rolled out for all major US carriers. Even the international variant of the handset got to taste Android 4.3 Jelly Bean. At the moment, the only major carrier in the US to roll out the update is Verizon. Even the unlocked and developer edition of the handset was updated to Android 4.3.

Android 4.4 Kit Kat May Launch This Friday

We had previously expected Android 4.4 Kit Kat to launch on the 31st of October with the Google Nexus 5, but now it would appear that it may launch this Friday the 1st of November with the Google Nexus 5 smartphone and the Google Nexus 10 tablet.

The new Google Nexus 10 appeared on the Google Play Store recently with Android 4.4 Kit Kat in tow, the Google Nexus 5 appeared on the same store last week, you can see both devices in the photo’s below.

BBM Voice and Video Calling Coming to Android and iPhone “Within Months”

BBM for Android and iPhone was launched last week and received a good response on both platforms. The application managed to hit 10 million downloads milestone in the first 24 hours of launch. It was being operated with the waiting list, at least in the first week, which was removed over the weekend.

One of the few features that many existing BBM user might miss is the voice and video calling, which is only available for Blackberry users. But, Executive VP of BBM for BlackBerry Andrew Bocking, mentioned that the new feature will debut for both platforms “within months.”
