Apple Expands Seagate Hard Drive Replacement Program For 2009-2011 iMacs

Over the weekend Apple announced that it would be expanding its iMac 1TB Seagate hard drive replacement programme, considerable increasing the number of iMac machines that are now eligible to swap out their existing hard drives.

The replacement program now includes iMacs sold between October 2009 and July 2011 that are equipped with 1TB Seagate hard drives, so if you haven’t already, now might be a good time to check yours.

Nokia Lumia 822 For Verizon Poses For The Camera Again

Last week we saw some photos of Verizon’s version of the Nokia Lumia 822, the Nokia Lumia 822 ‘Atlas’, and now we have some more photos of the handset which is expected to land on Verizon this month.

The Nokia Lumia 822 will come with Windows Phone 8 and it features 4G LTE and is expected to feature a WVGA display and an 8 megapixel camera and will also features 16GB of built in storage and a microSD card slot.

Droid RAZR M Android 4.1 Jelly Bean ROM Leaked

The Droid RAZR M launched in the US last month, the device comes with Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich, although Motorola have said they are working on an Android 4.1 Jelly Bean update for the handset.

Now it would appear that the Android 4.1 Jelly Bean update for the Droid RAZR M has been leaked, and the file is designated as ‘Blur Version 77.111.10.XT907.Verizon.en.US, the file is around 255MB in size.

Acoustic Barcodes Are The Audio QR Codes Of The Future (video)

A new technology has been created called Acoustic Barcodes which consist of a pattern of physical notches on an object that when swiped with a finger nail, or the edge of the smartphone, created a complex sounds that can then be converted by a smartphone or similar device into a binary ID.

Asus Padfone 2 And Padfone 2 Dock Photo Leaked

Asus will officially announce their new Padfone 2 tomorrow, we saw a video earlier today of the new handset in action, and now we have an actual photo of the device along with its new Padfone 2 dock.

The photos below were posted on Twitter by @evleaks, a source of a number of leaked smartphones over the last few months, and the device is rumored to come with a  4.7 inch touchscreen display with a resolution of 1280 x 720 pixels, a 1.5GHz quad core Qualcomm processor and a 13 megapixel camera.

Apple Licenses Swiss Railway Clock Design For iPad And iOS 6

When Apple released iOS 6, the clock up on the iPad had an update with a new design, when the new app was released, many people wondered why the design was so similar to that of the Swiss Railway Clock.

The original design was from the Swiss Federal Railways, who have no issued a press release and confirmed that Apple have reached an agreement with them to use their clock design on the iPad and iPhone in iOS 6.
