Battlefield 3 “Dog Tag” Bonus DLC For Amazon Pre-Orders

Amazon has today unveiled it will be offering an official Battlefield 3 “Dog Tag” pack to all customers that pre-order Battlefield 3. Do worry if you have already pre-ordered your Battlefield 3 copy will also be eligible for the Dog Tag offer.

The Amazon Dog Tag pack will contain the Battlefield 3: Back to Karkand DLC that brings with it four different maps from Battlefield 2 updated in Frostbite 2.0 and several of the game’s “weapons, vehicles and unique rewards”. Together with a code to access the exclusive content for the game’s multiplayer side.

Asus Eee Pad Transformer 2 To Launch Soon?

The second generation Asus Eee Pad Transformer was confirmed by Asus’s Chairman a while back, and we saw evidence of the devices existence recently with references to the Asus Eee Pad Transformer 2 TF201 appearing in benchmarks.

New Cloaking Device Uses A Mirage To Become Invisible (video)

A new device using carbon nanotubes has been created by researchers at the University of Dallas which creates its own mirage to become invisible. A mirage effect is normally associated with hot climates where heat creates the optical mirage phenomenon by bending light rays on long roads in the heat of the sun, as pictured below.

When Amazon announced their new Android tablet recently, the Amazon Kindle Fire, which will retail for $199, many people were wondering whether or not Amazon would actually be making a profit on the device itself.

A number of analysts came out with manufacturing costs for the Kindle Fire, which put the cost above the $199 price that Amazon will be selling the Kindle Fire for, suggesting that they would make a loss on the actual hardware, and would make their money from content sales.

JVC GC-PX10 Hybrid Camera Unveiled

Today JVC has unveiled a new addition to its hybrid camera range with the launch of the new JVC GC-PX10 camera/camcorder. The JVC GC-PX10 is capable of shooting 12-megapixel stills and 1080p full HD video 1920 x 1080 sampled at 36Mbps.

Its also fitted with a rapid-fire still shooting mode capable of capturing 3840 x 2160, at 60 shots per second, with up to 130 shots total per burst. Together with a CMOS sensor featuring 19x dynamic zoom and optical image stabilisation with advanced image stabiliser technology.

Facebook Enables Websense Malware Link Scanning To Protect Its Users (video)

Facebook has started rolling out a new malware protection feature to its 800 million users in the form of a new malware link scanning service powered by Websense’s ‘ThreatSeeker Cloud’ technology.

The new service will protect Facebook users by scanning links each time a user clicks to check if they are safe and malware free. The service will display a message warning users of any potentially harmful sites if they are detected, together with information on why the link has been flagged as suspicious.
