The new Apple iPhone 6 is expected to be launched this fall, and we have already heard a number of iPhone 6 rumors, about Apple’s latest smartphone.
Apple are rumored to be launching two different versions of the iPhone 6, and both models are said to feature a larger display than the existing 4 inch display on the iPhone 6.
What display sizes will the iPhone 6 come with?
The iPhone 6 is said to launch in two different screen sizes, one with a 4.7 inch display, this model is said to launch in September, the second model will apparently launch later in the year and will feature a 5.5 inch display.
As yet we do not know the exact resolution on the iPhone 6 in either the 4 .7 inch or 5.5 inch model, it is possible that both versions will feature a QHD display with a resolution of 2560 x 1440 pixels.
What processor will the iPhone 6 feature?
The iPhone 6 is said to feature a new mobile processor from Apple, this is expected to be called the Apple A8, and will come with a range of performance improvements over the A7 found in the iPhone 5S.
The Apple A8 processor is said to be a 64-bit mobile processor like the Apple A7, although it is rumored to come with a higher clock speed of around 2.6GHz.
What other features and software will the iPhone 6 have?
We can expect the iPhone 6 to be equipped with Apple’s fingerprint sensor, Apple’s TouchID, this was first introduced with the iPhone 5S, and we are expecting TouchID to make its way to Apple’s new tablets this year.
Apple are expected to launch a major new version of the mobile OS with the iPhone 6, this will be Apple iOS 8, which is expected to come with a wide range of new features.
We are also expecting Apple’s CarPlay to feature heavily in Apple iOS 8, although it was launched recently, we expect Apple will be using this as a major feature in the iPhone 6.
When will the iPhone 6 be available?
We are expecting Apple to make the new iPhone 6 official at a press event in September, this would mean that depending on exactly when the device is announced in September, it will go on sale either near the end of September or the start of October.
This is a pattern that Apple has followed in previous years with the new iPhone 6, they are holding their Worldwide Developer Conference in San Francisco on the 2nd of June, and from the iPhone 6 rumors we have heard, the iPhone 6 is not expected to show up at this event.
As we mentioned earlier, Apple are expected to start selling the 4.7 iPhone 6 shortly after it is announced in September, the 5.5 inch model is rumored to launch later in the year, of course this could possibly change, and both handsets could launch at the same time.
