The Apple iWatch is expected to be the next big thing in 2014, and we have heard a range of Apple iWatch rumors over the last couple of months.

The last thing we heard about the Apple iWatch is that the device will launch in September, the news came after reports revealed that Apple had started receiving parts for the Apple iWatch for testing from manufacturers.

Apple iWatch Rumors

Apple are expected to launch the iWatch at the same time as Apple iOS 8, this will also launch in September along with Apple’s iPhone 6.

From previous Apple iWatch rumors we have heard that Apple will launch two different sizes of the Apple iWatch, one with a 1.3 inch display for women, the other with a 1.7 inch display for men.

This is something that other smartwatch manufacturers have not done yet, their latest devices come in one size which is designed to be a unisex model.

From what we heard previously, fitness will play a major factor in the Apple iWatch, and as we heard previously, Apple iOS 8 will also focus on fitness tracking, with a number of new features being introduced.

Earlier in the year we also heard that the Apple iWatch would come with some sort of home automation integration, as yet there are not many details on this, although Apple is said to be working on home automation for a number of their devices.

One thing we do not know about the new Apple iWatch is anything about the design, the majority of smartwatch makers have chosen a square or rectangular design for their device, although the new Motorola Moto 360 features a round design.

We suspect that Apple will also choose a round design for the iWatch, the company is said to have approached a number of Swiss watchmakers regarding the iWatch.

And whilst it appears that none of the Swiss watchmakers decided to work with Apple in the iWatch, Apple are looking to make their new smartwatch more like a traditional watch in terms of design.

The majority of Swiss watches come with sapphire glass, this is something Apple has been working on and both the iWatch and iPhone 6 are expected to feature a sapphire glass display.

As soon as we get some more information on the new Apple iWatch, including some actual photos of the device, along with some specifications, and a launch date, we will let you guys know.
