1. Pebble Steel
Price: $229 Compatibility: iOS and Android
The Pebble Steel was launched in January, the device is the second smartwatch from Pebble and it comes with a new design plus a range of new features.
The Pebble Steel is compatible with Google’s Android platform and Apple’s iOS platform, it is available in two different colors, brushed stainless steel and black matte, you can choose from either a stainless steel bracelet or a leather watch strap which is a nice touch.
The Steel is waterproof to 5ATM and features a battery that will give you between 5 and 7 days of usage, the display on the Pebble Steel measure 1.26 inches and it has a resolution of 144 x 168 pixels.

2. Sony SmartWatch 2
Price $199 Compatibility: Android
The Sony SmartWatch 2 was launched in the US back in October of last year, the device is Sony’s second smart watch and it comes with a 1.6 inch LCD display that has a resolution of 220 x 176 pixels.
The SmartWatch 2 from Sony is compatible with Android devices that are running Android 4.0 and above, it is designed to be dust and waterproof and conforms to the IP57 standard.

3. Samsung Gear 2
Price $299 Compatibility: Android (Samsung Galaxy devices)
The Samsung Gear 2 is Samsung’s second smartwatch, the device has dropped the ‘Galaxy’ name this year as although it is compatible with Android, it no longer runs Android, instead it runs Samsung’s Tizen OS.
There are two versions of the Gear 2 available, which include the Samsung Gear 2 Neo as well as the Samsung Gear 2.
The Samsung Gear 2 comes with a 1.63 inch Super AMOLED display, the device also features a 2 megapixel camera, the Gear 2 Neo does not come with a camera.
Both devices feature a dual core 1GHz processor and come with 512MB of RAM, there is also 4GB of built in storage, and a 300 mAh battery that will give you up to three days usage. The device will be available to buy worldwide from April.

4. Pebble (Original)
Price $150 Compatibility: iOS and Android.
Number four on our list is the original Pebble Smartwatch, the device is good value for money and is priced at $150, it recently got a software update and comes with the same features and functions as the new Pebble Steel that we featured above.
The Pebble comes with a 1.26 inch display that has a resolution of 144 x 168 pixels, it also features the same battery as the Pebble Steel and you will get between five and seven days of usage out of it.
It is also waterproof up to a depth of 5ATM like the Pebble Steel, this means that you can use the device for swimming on a regular basis, the casing is made from polycarbonate and it comes with a rubber or silicone watch band, it is also available in a range of colors.

5. Sony SmartWatch (Original)
Price $80 Compatibility Android
The final one on our list in the original Sony SmartWatch, the device is reasonably priced when compared to some of the others available, it retails for just $80 which is affordable for a smart watch.
The original Sony SmartWatch comes with a 1.3 inch OLED display that has a resolution of 128 x 128 pixels, the device also comes with Bluetooth and it is compatible with a wide range of Android smartphones, it doen’t have all the features of the new Sony SmartWatch 2, but for the price its is pretty good.
