Whats New In iPhone 4 iOS 4.1?

As we mentioned earlier Apple has released iOS 4.1 to developers, and they latest version of the iPhone operating system adds a number of changes, including the changed signal bar graphics.

Other changes include a revamp of the Game Center App, the option to Add FaceTime favourites and the camera application including the camera roll now auto rotates in landscape.

ASUS Climbs Into PC Makers Top 5

In the second quarter of 2010 PC makers Asus sales grew 84% with it  shipping 4.3 million PC’s and claiming 5.3 % of the world market helping it climb in to the Top 5 of the PC makers league, according to the IDC.

This move now puts it level with Toshiba who are now tied for 5 position for the first time ever.

New Xbox 360 Arcade Turns Up On Amazon Germany

Amazon Germany has listed a new version of the Xbox 360, which indicates that Microsoft [MSFT] are about to launch a cheaper version of the Xbox 360.

The sites lists the Xbox 360 Arcade with 4GB of storage, it isn’t clear whether this is internal flash memory or a USB flash drive, it is also showing the Xbox 360 Arcade as a bundle so it may come with some games or other accessories.

Sony Launches Walkman E450

Sony has added another MP3 player to its range with the launch of the Sony Walkman E450. The Sony Walkman E450 features a 2 inch QVGA LCD display, and comes with a range of different storage options including 4GB, 8GB and 16GB.

The Sony Walkman E450 features a battery that will give you up to 50 hours of music playback and up to 10 hours of video playback, and the battery can be recharged to 80 percent in just one and a half hours.

Apple Releases iOS 4.1 Beta To Developers

Apple [AAPL] Had released the latest version of their iOS for developers, iOS 4, and according to Mobile Crunch iOS 4.1 doesn’t fix the iPhone 4 reception issues.

The guys over at Mobile Crunch have tested iOS 4.1 on the iPhone 4 to see if it solves the reception issues, and you can see the results in the video below.

Apple To Address iPhone 4 Reception Issues At Press Conference On Friday 16th July

Apple [AAPL] has invited a number of the press to a special iPhone 4 press conference at their Cupertino campus this Friday the 16th of July. The Press conference will take place at 10am Pacific time on Friday.

Apple hasn’t released an information on what will be announced at Friday’s press conference, all we know is that it is related to the iPhone 4.

Flipper USB is What a USB Port Should Have Been

If you are anything like me, you have fought with a USB port on more than one occasion when your flash drive or other device just didn’t want to plug in. I end up flipping it over several times in an attempt to plug the thing in and end up wondering why the port won’t just work from either side.

A new USB port has surfaced called Flipper USB. The Flipper name comes from the fact that you can plug the USB device into the port in either direction. That means no more messing with trying to get things plugged in.

Apple Buys Mapping Company Poly9

It looks like [AAPL] has just purchased another mapping company, in the form of Canadian 3D mapping startup Poly9 Group. Poly9 makes a browser based 3D globe similar to Google Earth.

Neither Apple of Poly9 have confirmed the acquisition as yet but a French Canadian News site has noted that two of the companies employees are now relocated in Silicon Valley and are tied into a non disclosure agreement.
