We are expecting to see four new iPhones this year, a new iPhone SE and three new iPhone X handsets, one of those will come with a 6.1 inch LCD display and the LCD iPhone X will be cheaper than the other two OLED handsets.
Now it would appear that we have some more details about the LCD iPhone X, the handset is expected to use a 6.1inch Full Active display from Japan Display. This display will have ultra thin bezels which are around 0.5mm on all sides. It is expected to come with a FHD+ resolution and have a 18:9 aspect ratio.
The handset will apparently come with a similar design to the other iPhone X handsets, the device will not have a home button and it will come with a notch at the top of the display for Apple’s Face ID. The device is also said to come with a rectangular shaped one cell battery of around 2850 mAh or 2,950 mAh this is higher than the current iPhone X.
Pricing will play an important part in this new iPhone X, it will retail for less than the current model. The current model start at $1,000, this new LCD iPhone will apparently be prices around $700 or $800. The handset will also come with a dual lens camera and 3GB of RAM.
We also have some details on the new OLED iPhone X handsets, there will be two different sixes of these one with a 5.8 inch display the other a 6.5 inch display. These handsets will come with 4GB of RAM and will have larger batteries of around 3,300 to 3,400 mAh. The new OLED iPhones will also come with a two cell battery.
The latest information on the 2018 iPhones comes from KGI Securities Analyst Ming Chi Kuo who has a proven track record with Apple leaks. We are expecting to see these new iPhones some time in September or October.
