We previously heard that Apple would launch three new iPhone X smartphones this year, two with an OLED display and one with an LCD display. The two with the OLED displays are expected to come with a 5.8 inch display and a 6.5 inch display.
The new iPhone X with an LCD display is said to come with a 6.1 inch display, as we heard previously all three handsets are expected to have a similar design to the existing iPhone X and feature a notch at the top of the display.
According to a recent report by KGI Securities analyst Ming Chi Kuo, Apple will be launching a 6.1 inch LCD display version of their new iPhone this year. We presume this will be the cheapest of the three new iPhones that will launch. All three handset are expected to be made official some time in September of 2018.
He also mentioned that Apple is expected to ship around 18 million units of their iPhone X in the first quarter of 2018 and around 13 million units in the second quarter. We previously heard a rumor that Apple would also release a new budget iPhone this year, an updated version of the iPhone SE. This handset is expected some time in the first half of the year.
