The Apple HomePod will go up for pre-order tomorrow the 26th of January, the device will go on sale next month on the 9th of February.
The guys over at 9 to 5 Mac have released a video which shows the steps involved in setting up the new HomePod, this is done in conjunction with an iPhone or an iPad, have a look at the video below.
Apple recently revealed that Siri now has more than 500 million active users, the HomePod is Apple’s first stand alone device to feature Siri. The device is designed to be more than just a voice activated assistant for your home, Apple has concentrated on producing a high end speaker for your home as well.
The device is expected to end up being popular for Apple, we recently heard that Apple’s suppliers had shipped the first million units of the device for its launch. We wonder if it will end up selling out at launch, it could end up being popular like Apple’s AirPods which have been in high demand since launch.
I guess we will know how popular the device is going to be when it goes up for pre-order tomorrow. The HomePod will cost $349 in the US and £319 in the UK.
