Yesterday LG announced that their smartphone flexible display had entered mass production, Samsung is rumored to be announced a new flexible display smartphone next week.
According to a recent report Samsung’s smartphone flexible display has already entered mass production, and it is said to be a 5.7 inch flexible display, we previously heard that Samsung would announce the Samsung Galaxy Round as their first flexible device.
Samsung’s flexible smartphone panel is apparently just 0.12mm thick and weighs in at just 5.2 grams and features a curvature radius of 400mm.
We have previously heard rumors that Samsung’s flexible smartphone will be based on the Samsung Galaxy Note 3, and considering this new flexible display is the same size as the Note 3 display it looks like these rumors may end up being correct.
It is now clear as yet what specifications the flexible display version of the Samsung Galaxy Note 3 will have, they could be the same as the original device.
The Samsung Galaxy Note 3 features a 5.7 inch full DH display, the flexible display that has just gone into production also measures 5.7 inches and also comes with a full HD resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels.
We would expect the rest of the specifications to be the same, and will probably include a quad core Snapdragon 800 processor and 3GB of RAM, plus a 13 megapixel camera.
As well as the flexible display version of the Samsung Galaxy Note 3, we have also heard that Samsung are working on a water proof and dust proof version of the device, the Samsung Galaxy Note 3 Active.
