Samsung will unveil their new Samsung Galaxy S4 smartphone tomorrow, so we thought now would be a good time for a round up of all the Samsung Galaxy S4 rumors we have heard over the last few weeks.
The Samsung Galaxy S4 will officially be announced at a Samsung Unpacked event in New York tomorrow, the event will also be live streamed on YouTube and in Times Square.
Samsung recent,y teased the Samsung Galaxy S4 with a photo of the handset and also a couple of teaser videos, although we did not get to have a good look at the S4, but we did see some leaked photos of the device earlier in the week.
We are expecting Samsung to announce two versions of the Samsung Galaxy S4, an international version and a US version and we have already seen some becnhmarks for both devices.
The US version of the Samsung Galaxy S4 is expected to feature a quad core 1.8GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 600 processor, where as the international version of the Samsung Galaxy S4 will come with an 8 core processor.
The International version of the Samsung Galaxy S4 is rumored to feature Samsung’s new flagship Exynos 5 Octa processor with a clock speed of 1.8GHz, this version will apparently feature a PowerVR SGX 544MP3 GPU, and both versions of the handset will come with 4G LTE.
The Samsung Galaxy S4 is rumored to come with a 4.99 inch full high definition AMOLED display, and it will also feature 2GB of RAM, plus a choice of either 16GB, 32GB or 64GB of built in storage.
Other rumored specifications on the Samsung Galaxy S4 include dual cameras, with a rear 13 megapixel camera for photos and video and a front facing 2.1 megapixel camera for video calls.
What will apparently set the Samsung Galaxy S4 apart from other smartphones will be the new features that are rumored to launch with the device, which will include Samsung Orb, touchless gestures and eye tracking technology.
Samsung Orb is a new camera feature, which is rumored to be similar to the Photo Sphere feature in Android, and it will apparently will allow you to take 360 degree panoramic photos with your Galaxy S4.
The eye tracking technology on the Samsung Galaxy S4 will be in the form of Eye Scroll and Eye Pause technology, these are two new patents that Samsung filed recently for mobile devices.
The Samsung Galaxy S4 is rumored to feature touchless gestures, that will let you perform actions on the device without touching the display, if you wanted to answer a call you would just lift the handset to your ear, and the call would be answered, rather than pressing a button and then lifting it to your ear.
Another new feature we are expecting to be introduced with the Samsung Galaxy S4 is Samsung Wallet, which is basically Samsung’s versions of Apple’s Passbook, this new feature was announced by Samsung recently.
Samsung also recent announced that they were teaming up with Visa for mobile payments and we are expecting this to be introduced with the launch of the Samsung Galaxy S4.
We are expecting Samsung to launch the Galaxy S4 in April, and we previously heard from one of our sources that the Samsung Galaxy S4 will go on sale in the US and Europe some time between the 15th and 22nd of April, we will have more details on the device tomorrow.
