According to a recent report, the Korean version of the new Samsung Galaxy S4 has just turned up in the GLBenchmark, although we are not sure quite what to make of the details that were revealed as the device is showing with a non Samsung processor in the form of a Qualcomm MSM8960 quad core processor with a clock speed of 1.9GHz.
The GL Benchmark also shows the Samsung Galaxy S4 will a full HD display with a resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels and the device is running Android 4.2.1 Jelly Bean and also features an Adreno 320 GPU, the device that appeared in the GL Benchmark has the model number of SHV-E300S, and you can see the benchmark details below.
Everything we have been hearing about the new Samsung Galaxy S4 up until now is that it will feature Samsung’s new 8 core Exynos 5 Octa processor, and we still think that the Samsung Galaxy S4 will feature the new 8 core processor.
There could be another reason why this device has appeared in the GL benchmarks with a different processor, it could be a different version of the Samsung Galaxy S4, possibly the Samsung Galaxy S4 Mini, we could see Samsung using a different processor in this device but not in the Galaxy S4.
If this is correct then the Samsung Galaxy S4 Mini would also come with a full HD display with a resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels, we had previously thought that the device would feature a HD display with a resolution of 1280 x 768 pixels.
It will be interesting to find out exactly what this device that has turned up in the GLBenchmarks, I suspect it will end up being the Samsung Galaxy S4 Mini rather than the actual Galaxy S4.
