Huawei’s smartphones have started to become popular, and the company has announced that its revenues for the first half of 2014 are up almost 20 percent on the same time last year.
Huawei have seen an increase of some 19 percent from last year to 135.8 billion yuan, which is around $21.88bn U.S. dollars or around £12.8 billion, the company has an operating margin of 18.3 percent.
“Revenue and profit for the first half of 2014 are in line with our expectations. Driven by increasing investments in LTE networks worldwide, Huawei has further solidified its leadership position in mobile broadband,” the company said in a statement.
“Our flagship smartphone, the Ascend P7, is being sold in more than 70 countries and regions.” said Cathy Meng, Huawei’s Chief Financial Officer.
Huawei also has now new devices on the way, which are expected to help the company boost revenue, today they launched a new Huawei Ascend P7 Arsenal Edition smartphone in the UK.
The company also announced their new Huawei Honor 6 smartphone which comes with some impressive specifications, including a Huawei Kirin 920 8 core processor that the company developed in house.
The company has been expanding its smartphone to more countries around the world, which has helped them increase sales of their handsets.
