Fring has added a new feature tto its iPhone App, called DVQ or Dynamic Video Quality, which is designed to optimise audio and video within the Fring app when you are making a video call.
The DVQ works by checking your bandwidth during a call, and then it optimizes the video and audio quality depending on your signal strength, and it is designed to give you the best audio and video quality.
That means that rather than ‘making do’ with a basic, fixed video quality call, you get an optimized video quality that matches your calls’ available bandwidth. In math terms, our dev guys have gone from ‘lowest common denominator’ to best possible– wherever you are’.
