Apple released iOS 7 last year with the iPhone 5S, and now the company has revealed its latest adoption figures for various versions of its mobile OS.
According to the latest figures released, Apple iOS 7 adoption is now at 87 percent, the company also revealed that 11 percent of devices are running iOS 6, and just 2 percent of all devices are running older versions of Apple’s mobile OS.
Included in the iOS 7 figures were details on the latest version of iOS 7, which is iOS 7.1, and a total of 58 percent of all Apple devices are using the latest version of Apple’s iOS.
If you compare this to Google’s Android OS, adoption of the latest version of Apple’s OS is higher than Android, as Google recently announced that 5.3 percent of devices are running the latest version which is android 4.4.Kit Kat.
Apple is expected to reveal more information on the next major version of iOS at their Worldwide Developer Conference in June, Apple iOS 8, which is expected to launch in September, along with the iPhone 6.
