Nokia Lumia 1520 and Lumia 2520 to Launch on November 22nd (Rumor)

Yesterday, Microsoft accidentally spilled the beans about the launch of Nokia Lumia 1520. The handset’s pre-orders went live on the Microsoft Store showing a release date of November 15th, but it seems it was incorrect. After it was spotted by the entire blogosphere, Microsoft pulled the handset from the online store. A new report suggests that the release has been pushed back by a week, and the most powerful Windows Phone phablet will now see the daylight on November 22nd.

Best Buy will offer the Sprint Nexus 5 on November 8th

Sprint has announced that it will have the Google Nexus 5 available starting November 8th and that the device will cost $149.99 on a new 2-year contract with the carrier. That is great news if you have been wanting the device. What they did not say is whether or not the Nexus 5 would be sold by any third party retailers. Well, now a leaked document from Best Buy confirms that it will be carrying the Sprint Nexus 5, so we know that much.

Samsung Talks About 64-bit Mobile Processors, 4K Displays

We already know that Samsung is working on a new 64-bit mobile processor, and now Samsung has revealed it future plans for its 64-bit processor and also new 4K mobile displays.

Android Beat noted the information that was revealed in Samsung’s Analyst Day yesterday, the company will have a two step approach for 64-bit processors, on using an ARM 64-bit core, the other using a Samsung 64-bit core.

Apple Grabs 40 Percent Share Of US Smartphone Market

Apple has managed to grab a 40 percent share of the US smartphone market, according to a recent report by comScore. Apple now has a 40.6 percent share of the US market for the three months to September.

Apple had a 39.9 percent share of the US smartphone market for the previous three months, so they have managed to increase their share by 0.7 percent.

Google is continuing to integrate its Google+ into its Android OS, and from next year, when you telephone an Android device from a Google+ verified phone number, your Google+ profile photo will appear on the handset you are calling.

If you have verified your phone number on your Google account, when you phone one of your friend on an Android device, it will automatically show them your Google+ photo.
