There’s no denying that Meizu manufacturers pretty good high-end devices that comes with a decent price tag. The company operates in China and is fairly popular in the region. Now, the company plans to enter the competitive US Smartphone market in 2014, beginning from the Consumers Electronics show, which will take place in Las Vegas from January 7th to January 10th. The company mentioned it will previews its range of smartphones at the event. However, they failed to mention the devices which will be showcased at one of the biggest electronics show.

Samsung Galaxy S5 With Metallic Chassis is ‘Unlikely’, according to a report

In the past few weeks, we’ve seen several rumors and reports mentioned Samsung will adopt a metallic chassis for its upcoming flagship device, Samsung Galaxy S5. Everything we heard about its specifications and features makes it feel like it’s going to be a monstrous device. But, it seems everything is not as it seems especially the external design part, at least if the report from Digitimes is to be believed.

According to the publication, citing Taiwan-based chassis manufacturers, it is ‘unlikely’ that Samsung will ditch the plastic design, at least for its upcoming Samsung Galaxy S5. The same sources say Samsung is still evaluating the adoption of metal chassis in its future flagship devices.

HTC announced the Gold HTC One last month, and the handset is now available in the UK through mobile retailer the Carphone Warehouse, the company is offering the device on a range of contracts with various mobile carriers.

The device is available for free on a new 24 month contract which will cost you £29 per month, and mobile carriers offering the device include Vodafone, Orange and O2.

Sony Xperia Z To Get Android 4.3 Jelly Bean Tomorrow?

Last month, Sony released its plans about updating a bunch of devices to Android 4.3 and Android 4.4 KitKat. Sony announced Xperia Z, Xperia ZL, Xperia ZR, Xperia Tablet Z, Xperia SP, Xperia Z Ultra and Xperia Z1 will get the taste of Android 4.3 Jelly Bean in the coming weeks. Sony Xperia Z Ultra and Xperia Z1 already got the Android 4.3 update, and it seems Xperia Z is next in line to receive the update.

Earlier today, it seems someone at Sony pulled the trigger early and updated the software update page for Sony Xperia Z. The page confirmed Android 4.3 Jelly Bean details including the software version 10.4.B.0.569, along with the December 19th release date.

WhatsApp is one of the most popular messaging services available at the moment, with dedicated apps for all major platforms including iOS, Android, Blackberry, Windows Phone and Nokia devices. There’s no denying that it took the folks at Instagram a considerable amount of time to release its official application for Windows Phone platform. Last month, woes of Instagram fans using Windows Phone were heard and an official application was released in the Windows Phone Store in a form of a beta version.

Recently, Instagram updated its official application for Windows Phone Store, with a bunch of bug and crash fixes, improvements to the user interface, along with addition of some new features to the application. Moto X Bamboo Wood Back Arrives At Moto Maker with An Extra $100 Price

Recently, Motorla teased the wood back for Moto X, suggesting it will soon make an appearance on the Moto Maker website. As expected, Motorola has released the wood back customizations for the Moto X, but it’s currently available in bamboo only for an extra $100, as well as delayed shipping time.

Previous reports suggested the wood customizations will launch during the holiday season with an extra $50 bucks added to the final price, but it’s more than that.

Windows Phone 8.1 Notification Customization Settings Screenshot Leaked

Microsoft is reportedly working on the next version of its operating system known as Windows Phone 8.1. Yesterday, it was reported the upcoming Windows Phone 8.1 will include a notification center as well as a Siri-like Voice Assistant. It was rumored to work in a similar fashion as it does for Android and iOS.

Swiping the screen from top to bottom will bring up the notification center. Short press and you’ll be redirected to Quick Settings, while long press will just bring up the full notifications. Earlier today, a new leaked screenshot has surfaced on the internet, showing the purported notification customization settings.
