This week a new Witcher 3 Xbox One X patch rolled out Microsoft’s new flagship games console which offers 4K Ultra HD gaming. But what can you actually expect once you’ve downloaded and installed the new Witcher 3 Xbox One X update? Check out the video below to learn more. The latest Witcher 3 Xbox One X patch, is approximately 550 MB in size and takes the form of version 1.60 adding two new visual options to The Witcher 3’s display settings in the form of 4K Mode and Performance Mode.
The 4K mode provides “stable 30fps gameplay,” said CD Projekt at 4K ultra HD resolutions, but if you have the new Xbox One X turning on the Performance Mode will allow you to enjoy the Witcher 3 at up to 60 fps, and scales the resolution dynamically between 1080p and 4K ultra HD in an effort to meet that frame rate target.
CD Projekt Red also explained that a new patch to add HDR on to the PlayStation 4 Pro console “will soon be released” at the current time it hasn’t been made clear whether the PlayStation update will enable HDR on other PS4 models. Back in early October 2017 CD Projekt Red patched the PS4 version of The Witcher 3 adding support for the PS4 Pro, which enabled 4K resolution via checkerboard rendering on that console.
CD Projekt Red have been working hard on an early Xmas gift. The full patch on Xbox One X brings HDR, improved visuals, 4K resolution and something I may have helped bring into focus?
