Gamers patiently waiting for the arrival of the Wikipad Android handheld tablet and gaming console, will be pleased to learn that the new gaming device will be launching on October 31st and will be available from GameStop, and is now available to pre-order for $499.
The Wikipad is equipped with a detachable set of gaming controls, and runs Google’s latest Android 4.1 Jelly Bean operating system. Its also PlayStation Certified, allowing it to run PlayStation Mobile titles.
The Wikipad is powered by a 1.4GHz Nvidia Tegra 3 processor, supported by 1GB of RAM, and is fitted with a 10.1 inch IPS LCD screen sporting a resolution of 1280 x 800 pixels. Fraser Townley, President of Sales for Wikipad, Inc. explained in the press release today:

And for those that purchase or pre-order a Wikipad at GameStop, their tablet will have access to valuable extras including exclusive free, full-length game titles. The Wikipad is powered by an Nvidia Tegra 3 processor and will support PlayStation®Mobile platform,”
The Wikipad is available in two sizes a 16Gb or 32GB version with extra expansion provided by its microSD card slot.
