Earlier this year, Motorola confirmed they are working on a new Moto X which will see the light of the day later this summer. Well, the summer is almost over, and there’s no word about when Motorola will launch the device — we’ve seen a handful of rumors and leaks, but nothing from Motorola itself.
According to a new report from Droid-life, the new Moto X will launch on Verizon by the end of September, 25th of September to be exact.
The folks at Droid-Life have some strong sources when it comes to news related to Verizon, so we have a reason to believe they may be correct this time as well.
Back at MWC 2014, Motorola said it will launch by summer which should end on September 22nd. So, Motorola appears to be a little behind their deadline. However, there’s a chance other carriers may launch device earlier then Verizon, but there’s no official word about it at the moment.
We’ve seen Moto X+1 pop up several times in the past few weeks, suggesting we may get a Snapdragon 801 SoC, a 5.2-inch display with 1080p resolution, 32GB storage with a microSD card slot, a 13MP rear camera, 5MP front facing camera and should come with Android 4.4 KitKat.
We’ll update you as soon as more information comes up.
