Last month, HTC released Android 4.3 update for HTC One in US for the unlocked version as well as the major US carriers except Verizon, which has been delayed for another month. It’s not just US, the Android 4.3 update is rolling out for several countries around the globe including some eastern European and nordic countries as well. Now it looks like it’s UK’s turn to get the taste of Android 4.3 Jelly Bean on HTC One, which also brings the latest Sense 5.5 UI as well.
Many users across the country are reporting about the update hitting their devices pushing the version to 3.62.401.1. The folks at Pocket-lint also reported that their HTC One has received the update as well and with Sense 5.5 UI. Although there has been some confusion as some users didn’t get the new Sense 5.5 UI while other received it.
The new Android 4.3 update with Sense 5.5 UI brings several new changes such as OpenGL 3.0, improvements to BlinkFeed and Video highlights, improvements to gallery and more.
HTC also announced that HTC One will also get the Android 4.4 KitKat update in the coming months. We’re hoping that HTC will fulfill their promise, which they did before for the US and other regions as well.
Ofcourse the update will reach every handset in the UK, but it might take some time as the roll out process is gradual. If you’re impatient and can’t wait for the notification to pop up by itself, you can manually check for the update by going to Settings > More > About Device > Software update.
If you received the update, share you experience with us using the comments below.
