Swype for Android the app that allows you to drag your finger across keys to write rather then typing, has just been made available in beta format to everyone. After being tested in a restricted beta for the last few months.
So if you fancy giving a new way to input text a go on your mobile you can now download Swype for free. If you haven’t seen Swype before, watch the video after the jump to see it in action.
Once you have registered on the Swype site for the beta release, an email will be sent to you that you should open on your Android device, once clicked it will then send you to the beta download site.
Once Swype is installed, the app will guide you through the setup process, but if for some reason that doesn’t work, press and hold on any input field, select “Input method,” then choose Swype.
