The Samsung Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8 Plus have been popular handsets for Samsung. Now according to a recent report, Samsung has shipped more than 20 million units of their S8.
The Galaxy S8 smartphones were released back in April and according to data provided by Strategy Analytics, shipments over the S8 and S8 Plus have exceeded 20 million at the end of July 2017.
Samsung recently reported much higher than expected profits in their most recent financial quarter, a lot of this was apparently due to high sales of their S8 handsets.
Samsung are getting ready to launch a new rugged version of the S8 in the US, the Samsung Galaxy S8 Active, this handset will be exclusive to AT&T and it is expected to be a popular device.
The company is also getting ready to launch their new Samsung Galaxy Note 8 this month. The handset will be made official at a press event on the 23rd of August. It is expected to go on sale in early September.
