Some owners of the new OnePlus 5 smartphone are reporting a bug that reboots the handset and this appears to happen when a user of the device dials the emergency services in the US on 911.
The news of this new bug on the OnePlus 5 handset has been reported on Reddit by a number of owners of the handset and it has also be filmed on video.
The bug of the OnePlus 5 rebooting when you dial 911 can be seen in the video below from Nick Morelli which was posted on Facebook.
As yet there are no details on why this is happening to the OnePlus 5 smartphone and it is not clear as yet on whether this is affecting all handsets.
We would recommend that you do not try this out, as you could end up getting through to 911 when people with real emergency calls are trying to get through.
As yet there are no details from OnePlus on when a fix for this bug will be released, as soon as we get some more information, we will let you guys know.
Updated with a statement from OnePlus.
“We have contacted the customer and are currently looking into the issue. We ask anyone experiencing a similar situation to contact us at support@oneplus.net.”
