LG has this week launched a range of new products in the form of a fridge, washing machine and oven that the company has equipped with their LG HomeChat communication technology, enabling owners to control them from a mobile device.
From today the new LG HomeChat appliances are available to purchase in Korea, and LG has designed their LG HomeChat technology to enable owners to communicate with their appliances via a smartphone or desktop PC. Watch the promotional video after the jump to see LG HomeChat in action.
LG smart appliances compatible with HomeChat can all be controlled using a companion application that includes a quick button that allows users to quickly access commonly used features for each appliance. The LG HomeChat control application is also equipped with three different modes to enable users to access their appliances whilst away from the home.
LG explained today that it is currently preparing to launch their new LG HomeChat compatible appliances in other markets around the world including the US. However no information on pricing or availability has been announced as yet, but when LG confirm a worldwide launch date we will keep you updated as always.
