When HP purchased Palm last year they announced that they would be investing heavily in Palm’s webOS, and it looks like we may be about to see some new webOS devices from HP Palm.
We know that HP has been working on a range of new devices which they intend to launch this year, and we are expecting to see at least one or two webOS based tablets, and we may see them as early as February the 9th, as we mentioned previously.
HP’s Todd Bradley recent mentioned in an interview on MSNBC about an upcoming webOS event which will take place on February the 9th 2011, so we can expect to see the new HP Palm tablets then and possibly some other devices.
“As we think about how that enables everything from smartphones to tablets to PCs to potentially other large screen devices, we see an enormous opportunity, both for ourselves and for our customers, to get the best web experience, the best content experience, that they can.”
We are looking forward to see what HP Palm has planned for their new tablets and also webOS, hopefully HP will be able to make webOS more popular and bring more applications and feature to the platform so that it can compete with the likes of Apple’s iOS and Google’s Android platforms.
