There have been reports of a number of different issues with the Google Pixel 2, including the display and also some sound issues. Google has now released a software update for the Pixel 2 and Pixel 2 XL. The software update for both handsets brings some changes that are designed to improve the display on the devices.
One of the ways that Google is trying to improve the display on the handset is by making changes to the color profiles. Previously you could toggle on ‘vivid colors’ and now there are three options, natural, boosted or saturated.
The software update also comes with some other changes to the display which are apparently design to reduce screen burn, these include a small reduction to maximum brightness. The navigation bar now also fades away after inactivity. The update apparently also comes with the November security patch for Google’s Android OS.
Google have said that they will bring more enhancements to the display on the Pixel 2 and Pixel 2 XL in their next update. This will apparently come some time next month along with the December security patch. You can find out more details about the update over at Google at the link below.
