Google have had couple of issues with their new Google Pixel 2 and Pixel 2 XL smartphones. Some owners of the handset have had issues with their display’s. Others have had issues with clicking sounds whilst making a telephone call.
Google has said that the display is working as intended but that they will make some software changes to the display you can see a statement from Google below.
We’ve received some feedback about the Pixel 2 XL displays not appearing as saturated as other phones. We attribute this perception to our choice to calibrate the Pixel 2 XL for delivering natural, accurate colors, taking advantage of the new color management support in Android 8.0 Oreo.

Based on the feedback we’ve received since announcing Pixel 2 and Pixel 2 XL, we learned that some users do want even more vibrant colors. So, through a software update to Pixel 2 and Pixel 2 XL, we will soon be adding a new “saturated” color mode.
Google has also announced that they are extending the warranty of their Pixel 2 and Pixel 2 XL smartphones from 12 months to two years. Google has also said that they are working on a fix for the clicking sounds which should resolve the issue with a software update.
As yet there are no details on when these software updates will be released for the Pixel 2 and Pixel 2 XL, as soon as we get some more details, we will let you guys know.
