Earlier today Samsung announced the new Samsung Galaxy S5 Mini smartphone, the company said that the device would launch in Russia first, and then globally some time in July.
According to a recent report, Samsung will launch the new Galaxy S5 Mini globally around the middle of July, although as yet we do not have an exact release date for the handset.
The handset comes with a smaller 4.3 inch HD display than the S5, it has a resolution of 1280 x 720 pixels, and it is powered by a quad core 1.4GHz processor.
Other specifications on the new Galaxy S5 Mini include 1.5GB of RAM, and 16GB of storage, there is also a microSD card slot which supports up to 64GB cards.
The handset shares a similar design to the original Galaxy S5, and it is available in similar colors. The new smaller S5 Mini comes with a 2.1 megapixel front camera and an 8 megapixel rear camera.
The device also comes with Android 4.4 KitKat, and features a 2,100 mAh battery, plus a built in fingerprint sensor like the S5. As yet we do not have any information on how much the new Galaxy S5 Mini will retail for, as soon as we get some more details, we will let you guys know.
