Apple has this week rolled out three new channels for its Apple TV set-top box which includes A&E, The History Channel, and Lifetime. However each new Apple TV application does require a cable subscription to unlock the full content but some of the most recent episodes are reportedly available without a cable subscription.
Currently each channel only supports DirecTV, Verizon FiOS, and Cablevision Optimum, but the network says that you can expect support for more providers to arrive soon.
Apple is also expected to launch a new version of its Apple TV sometime later this year, however as you would expect no confirmation of this has been announced by Apple as yet. But as soon as any more information becomes available regards the next generation Apple TV set-top box we will keep you updated as always.
