LandingZone MacBook Air Dock (video)
After purchasing a MacBook Air, but not being able to find a suitable docking station for it. Semiconductor design engineer Kitae Kwon from Cupertino CA. Decided to take matters into his own hands, and created the LandingZone MacBook Air Dock.
The LandingZone is currently starting it journey over on the KickStarter website, and allows you to easily connect your MacBook Air to an external display and peripherals. Watch the LandingZone in action after the jump.

Intel HD Blu-ray Video Encryption Cracked
Last year when the HDCP master key was leaked, Intel was not that bothered, stating that anyone who would like to use or crack the master key would need to be in semi-conductor business and create an expensive customised chip.
Unfortunately for them, that doesn’t seem to be correct. As Ruhr University’s Secure Hardware Group together with PhD student Benno Lomb, has now been able to crack the HDCP copy protection. Using a custom board they have created using a handful of inexpensive FPGA chips.

Motorola Xoom 2 And Xoom2 Media Edition Land In the UK Next Week
Motorola recently announced its new Xoom tablets, the Motorola Xoom 2 and the Xoom 2 Media Edition, and now it would appear that both of these new Android tablets will be available in the UK from next week.
According to the guys over at Clove, the Xoom 2 will be available from this Friday the 2nd of December, whilst the Xoom 2 Medoia Edition will be available from next Monday the 5th of December.
Worlds Smallest V12 Engine (video)
A Spanish engineer named Patelo has created what he thinks has to be the world’s smallest V12 engine. Spending more than 1,200 hours transforming blocks of aluminium, bronze and stainless steel. Into the intricate pasts needed to build this amazing V12 engine.
The tiny V12 engine is powered by compressed air which is injected into the engine at 0.1kg/sq cm. The pistons on the V12 engine measure just 11.3 mm in diameter, and with the twelve combined boasts a total displacement of 12 cubic centimetres. Watch the video after the jump to see it in action.

LG Optimus 3D, Optimus Black And More To Get Android 4.0 ICS Update
LG recently announced that the LG Optimus 2X would be getting the Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich update, and LG also said that other Optimus devices would be getting ICS.
Now we have more details on which devices will get Android 4.0 ICS, and these will include the LG Optimus 3D, the LG Optimus Black, and the Optimus LTE.
Samsung Galaxy Nexus Volume Bug Software Fix Leaked
Earlier today we heard that Samsung has started loading their software update which is designed to fix the volume bug on the Galaxy Nexus on to new devices which they were shipping out to retailers.
Samsung has yet to release the software update to existing Galaxy Nexus devices, but now it would appear that the volume bug fix has now been leaked and is available to download as a ROM for your Samung Galaxy Nexus.
Batman Arkham City’s DLC Will Include Batcave, Jokers Carnival And The Iceberg Lounge
The highly anticipated new Batman Arkham City’s DLC which is expected to be launched on December 20th. Will bring with it some fantastic treats for Batman fans. Including a new challenge map the for the Batcave, as well as the already available Jokers Carnival and The Iceberg Lounge maps.

Sony Ericsson Shutting Down Sync Services
Over the weekend Sony Ericsson has announced that it will be phasing out its Sony Ericsson Sync service, with the aim to create a more enhanced and integrated smartphone experience for users.
As the service comes to an end Sony Ericsson suggest that any users using the closing service, should now jump to using Google Sync service instead. Which provides support for Google Mobile Services such as Google Voice Search, Google Maps and YouTube.

15 Inch MacBook Air Coming Early Next Year?
We have already heard a number of rumors that Apple will launch a 15 inch MacBook Air next year, and now according to a new report, we can expected to see the new 15 inch MacBook Air launch at the same time as new 11.6 inch and 13 .3 inch models.
As we heard previously, the new 15inch MacBook Air is reported to launch in the first quarter of 2012, so we will probably see the new MacBook Air range some time in March of 2012.

Phillips Bio-Light Concept Uses Bacteria To Create Light
Phillips has unveiled a new type of concept lighting which it has been developing, that uses bacteria as the source to create the light. The bacteria within the lighting system is fed with methane and composted material to create an ambient light.
The picture below shows the Probe, a wall of glass cells containing a live bacterial culture that then emits a soft green bioluminescence light. Each cell with the Probe is connected via a network of silicon tubes, to the food source reservoir at the base, creating a closed loop system for the living material.

South Korean Prison To Be Run By Robots
Personally I couldn’t think of anything worse than being in prison, what about being in a prison run by robots? A south Korean prison will introduce robot guards next year, and the guards will stand 150cm tall and will be introduced to the City of Pohang Prison in March of next year.
The prison has spent a total of $850,000 on these new robots, and the plan is that the human guards will spend more time rehabilitating the offenders, whilst the robot guards will do some of the more menial tasks like patrolling at night.
TV Controlled Daleks, Under Development By BBC (video)
The BBC has revealed this week that they are currently developing a new technology, which will allow them to control toy Daleks using metadata contained within ‘Doctor Who’ episodes shown on your home TV. Adding even more fear to the already ominous Daleks. Watch the video after the jump to see the new BBC metadata technology in action.
