Canon has officially announced their new version of their massively popular Canon Eos Rebel T1i, the Canon Eos Rebel T2i.
The new model features an 18 megapixel CMOS sensor, and the ability to record Full HD video at up to 30 frames per second, and it uses many of the technologies used in Canon’s more expensive professional EOS 7D.
Ikonshop have developed a new camera that is is capable of shooting 3D video in Full HD at 1080p, the Ikonshop A-Cam3D.
The Ikonshop A-Cam3D captures two separate video streams at once, in a resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels in RAW files, and it captures the video at frame rates of between 25fps and 30fps.
Nikon has added another super zoom camera to it’s CoolPix range, with the launch of the Nikon CoolPix P100.
The Nikon CoolPix P100 features a 10.3 megapixel CMOS sensor, and a 26x optical zoom range, it also features and ISO range up to 3200 and features five way image stabilization.
Hasselblad has launched another medium format camera, the Hasselblad H4D-40, which is going to set you back a massive $20,000.
So what do you get for your $20,000? The Hasselblad H4D-40 features a 40 megapixel sensor, a ‘True Focus’ auto focus system, and it comes bundled with an 80mm lens and a viewfinder.
The camera manufacturers seem to be releasing a lot of new models this week, the latest one is Nikon with the new Coolpix S8000.
The Nikon Coolpix S8000 is extremely thin measuring just 27.3mm at its thickest point, it features a 14.2 megapixel sensor, and a 3 inch LCD display and 10x optical zoom.
Ricoh has updated it CX camera range just six months after the launch of the Ricoh CX2, the new model is the Ricoh CX3 and it comes with a range of improvements over the previous model.
The Ricoh CX3 features a 10 megapixel back illuminated CMOS sensor, and it can now record HD video in 1280 by 720 pixels.
JVC has added another camcorder to their range with the launch of the JVC Everio GZ-HM340. The JVC Everio GZ-HM340 comes with 16GB of built in storage, plus an SD/SDHC card slot.
The JVC Everio GZ-HM340 features a built in 20x optical zoom and a 1/5.8 inch 1.37 megapixel CMOS sensor and built in image stabilization.
Fujifilm has added a couple of compact digital cameras to its FinePix rane, the Fujifilm FinePix F80EXR and Z700EXR.
The Fujifilm FinePix F80EXR features a 12 megapixel sensor, and 10x optical zoom, as well as a 3 inch LCD display, it can record HD video in 720P and has a range of built in features which include face recognition, and picture rotation.
Olympus has added another micro four thirds camera to their PEN range, with the launch of the Olympus PEN E-PL1, and the good news is that this model in the PEN range is a little more budget friendly.
The Olympus PEN E-PL1 features the same sensor as the other micro four thirds cameras in the PEN range, but the lower price means there have been a few changes.
Olympus has added another compact digital camera to its range with the Olympus SP-800UZ Superzoom digital camera.
The Olympus SP-800UZ Superzoom features a 14 megpixel sensor and a 30x optical zoom lens,plus a 3inch LCD display, and according to Olympus it is the world’s smallest superzoom camera.
According to Canon Rumors, Canon are set to release an update model of their popular T1i DSLT next week, and it will be called the T2i.
Apparently the Canon Rebel T2i will feature a new LCD display with a higher resolution, plus selectable FPS for video, and a completely re-designed case.
