Viper SmartStart App Now Available for Android Smartphones

We talked a bit about the Viper SmartStart application back in April when the iPhone app surfaced and would let you start your car and warn you when the alarm was set off. The app is also available for Blackberry users leaving other smartphone types out until now.

Concept Umbrella Stand Dries Your Umbrella and Uses the Water

We like concept products around here and when they serve a useful purpose and does something green at the same time, we get all excited. A new umbrella stand concept has turned up that dries your umbrella to prevent slippery wet messes and then actually uses the water.

The concept has these long green sponge strips that look like really big blades of grass. You cram your umbrella into the sponge strips and they soak up the rainwater.

Today we have another iPhone 4 case from the guys over at Speck to review, the Speck GeoMetric iPhone 4 case. The Speck GeoMetric iPhone 4 is a semi hard case for the iPhone 4.

It features an interesting asymmetrical triangle design on the back of the case, which gives it extra grip to ensure the iPhone 4 stays firmly in your hand. The design is very similar to the Speck PixelSkin HD case which is still my favourite one out of all the cases we have tested.

YouTube Increases Upload Limit To 15 Minutes

YouTube has increased the upload limit for videos to YouTube for 10 minutes to 15 minutes, because users have asked to be able to upload longer videos to YouTube.

Now you will be able to sit through 15 minute gadget unboxing videos instead of 10, and whilst it still isn’t enough time for a full featured movie, the move will be welcomed by many YouTube users.

HTC Post 58 Percent Revenue Growth

Its been a great second quarter for the Taiwanese handset maker HTC in this financial year, who have just posted their Q2 figures showing roughly a $1.8 billion in revenues, which is up over 58 percent year-over-year, with net profit in the three months to June rose 50.5 percent year on year.
