Its been a great second quarter for the Taiwanese handset maker HTC in this financial year, who have just posted their Q2 figures showing roughly a $1.8 billion in revenues, which is up over 58 percent year-over-year, with net profit in the three months to June rose 50.5 percent year on year.
Not only that but HTC have sold more than 5.4 million handsets in Q2, up from 2.4 million in the year prior, beating their quarterly guidance with its shipments surging 80 percent year on year.
HTC said it expected its smartphone shipments to jump 132 percent year-on-year to 6.5 million units in the third quarter.
