Facebooks CEO Announces New Privacy Policies

Facebook has come under a lot of criticism since it changed its privacy settings, a lot of Facebook users were less than happy with the changes, and Facebook’s CEO promised to address the problems.

Yesterday Mark Zuckerberg announced changes to Facebook’s privacy policies in a bid to keep its users happy, the changes include a single control for content, more powerful controls for Facebook users basic information and the ability to turn off all applications.

Firefox Home iPhone App

Mozilla has announced Firefox Home for the iPhone, Firefox Home is an iPhone application that is based on Mozilla’s Sync technology, and it will let you carry over your history and bookmarks from the Firefox browser.

This is an interesting solution from Mozilla, and rather than creating a proxy browser like Opera  did with their Mini browser application for the iPhone, Mozilla has chosen a different route.

iPads Arriving Early In The UK

Apple’s iPad is due to go on sale in the UK tomorrow, Friday the 28th of May 2010, although people who have pre-ordered them may get them a day early as there are reports that many are showing a delivery date of today.

People who have pre-ordered the iPad have had shipping confirmation from a number of different delivery companies with a delivery date of the 27th of May, whether the iPad will arrive today remains to be seen.

iPhone 4G To Go On Sale In June?

There really isn’t much we don’t know about Apple’s next generation iPhone,  we have seen leaked pictures and video of the iPhone 4G, details of what features it will come with which were found in the iPhone OS 4.0, and we know that Apple will announce it at their World Wide Developer Conference on the 7th of June 2010.

Now it looks like we know when it will go on sale, according to the Boy Genius Report, who has received some information from AT&T employees, the iPhone 4G will go on sale in June.

Eurocom Panther 2.0 is First Notebook Supporting SLI and Crossfire

Gaming notebooks are big, powerful, hot, and crazy expensive. The new Eurocom Panther 2.0 that has debut today has all of those common features. The machine is billed as the world’s first notebook supporting both SLI and Crossfire.

That means you can opt to put a pair of NVIDIA or AMD GPUs inside the machine and it will work. The beast can also be had with Intel processors with up to six cores including the Core i7 line or Xeon 5500/5600 series.

The notebook can also be fitted with up to 24GB of RAM, 4TB of storage, and it has USB 3.0 ports. The notebook has a giant 17.3-inch screen and will ship in late August. Pricing is unknown, but fully equipped models will be crazy expensive.

VIA Labs Announces VL800 USB 3.0 Host Controller

I have wondered why that most computers I see only have two USB 3.0 ports. I didn’t think to consider the reason was because the USB 3.0 host controllers inside the machines only supported a pair of USB 3.0 ports.

VIA Labs announced today that it would be showing off a new USB 3.0 host controller at Computex next month that supports four USB 3.0 ports. The new controller has the bandwidth needed to allow all four ports to be used at once.

MSI i-Charger App Lets Any MSI-based PC Charge iPad

One of the things that had a lot of iPad users in an uproar when the device first hit the market was the fact that it needed more power to charge than the typical USB port offered. The average USB port only has 0.5A while the iPad needs 1.2A to charge.

That means a lot of users plugged their iPads into the USB port on their computers and found the iPad would not charge. MSI has announced a new app for any MSI notebook or desktop using a MSI mainboard called i-Charger.
