Major Nelson has this week unveiled details of the new features and additions owners of its next-generation Xbox One games console can expect to enjoy thanks to this month’s Xbox One May update.
New additions to the Xbox One arriving in this months update include new audio controls providing users with more control over audio levels and background sounds.
Via a new Xbox One sound mixer that enables users to control the volume levels of two applications when using the innovative Snap Xbox One feature. The new audio controls also allow gamers to control the volume levels when using the Kinect gesture control device for chat.
Microsoft has also within this update rolled out improvements to its speech recognition technology that now allows owners to opt in allowing Microsoft to gather more speech data, enabling them to provide users with more responsive voice controls. The process of sending your voice recognition data to Microsoft is completely optional and is only for product improvement, says Microsoft.
Microsoft is enabling users of their Xbox One console to download the latest system update as whenever it’s convenient after update. You can check to see if it is now available on your system by visiting the Settings section and then selecting, System Update.
