WhatsApp has rolled out a new update to its iOS app today that has brought with it the highly anticipated voice calling feature and now brings the iOS app in line with its the services Android app that received the voice calling update a few weeks ago.
The new iOS voice calling feature within WhatsApp is rolling out slowly to Apple users so you will have to be patient if its hasn’t arrived on your iOS device just yet.
The new WhatsApp voice calling feature allows users to call friends and family using the WhatsApp service for free, even if they are located in another country. WhatsApp calls use your phone’s Internet connection rather than the phones cellular plan and voice minutes, although data charges may apply. Other new WhatsApp features include :
– iOS 8 share extension: Share photos, videos, and links right to WhatsApp from other apps.
– Quick camera button in chats: Now you can capture photos and videos, or quickly choose a recent camera roll photo or video.
– Edit your contacts right from WhatsApp.
– Send multiple videos at once and crop and rotate videos before sending them.
