Verizon Sony Xperia Z2

We have been hearing various rumors about when the Verizon Sony Xperia Z2 smartphone would launch, and now according to a recent report, the handset will launch in the middle of the next quarter.

The news comes from @evleaks, who has said that the reason that the Sony Xperia Z2 has not launched on Verizon as yet, is because the handset will come with LTE-Advanced.

This means that the Verizon Sony Xperia Z2 needs to go through a new certification an testing process, and this is the main reason that the handset is yet to land on the carrier, LTE-Advanced is designed to be faster than LTE.

The handset is expected to share the same specifications as the existing Xperia Z2, which will include a 5.2 inch full HD display that has a resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels.

The Sony Xperia Z2 is powered by a quad core 2.3GHz Snapdragon 801 processor, the handset features 3GB of RAM and 16GB of included storage, this can be expanded further via a microSD card slot.

Other specifications on the Xperia Z2 include a 20.7 Sony Exmor RS rear facing camera that comes with a range of advanced features, plus a front facing 2.2 megapixel Sony Exmor R camera.

As soon as we get some information on exactly when the Sony Xperia Z2 will launch on Verizon Wireless, we will let you guys know.
