Developers Creative Assembly and publisher SEGA have today confirmed the release date for the new upcoming Total War Saga Thrones of Britannia game. Which will be available to play on PC systems in approximately two months time. The official launch date is now set for April 19th, 2018 and the game provides another slice of the “multi-award-winning strategy series”, with this release using the previously released Attila games engine, together with a new refinements and of course a new story to play out.
As you would expect Total War Thrones of Britannia once again provides huge real-time battles and campaigns, set at a critical flashpoint time in history during the year 878 AD. When Anglo-Saxons, Gaelic clans and Viking settlers clash for control of lands. The embattled English king Alfred has mounted a heroic defence at the battle of Edington, and halted the Viking invasion. “Chastened but not yet broken”, the Norse warriors have made settlements across Britain and for the first time in 80 years the land is in a fragile state of peace. How long will it remain?
