Respawn Entertainment has today launched their highly anticipated sequel to the original Titanfall game with the launch of Titanfall 2 on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC.
Unlike other AAA games which require a season pass to be purchased to be able to download new maps and content, no Season Pass is required for Titanfall 2. All maps and modes will be free for Titanfall 2 Multiplayer, ensuring that the community remains united and everyone has access to the same content.
New Features and Enhancements
Titanfall 2 introduces a variety of new features and enhancements that set it apart from its predecessor. One of the most significant additions is the inclusion of a single-player campaign, which was notably absent in the original Titanfall. This campaign offers a rich narrative experience, allowing players to delve deeper into the Titanfall universe. The story follows the journey of a Militia rifleman named Jack Cooper, who aspires to become a Titan pilot. Players will experience a blend of fast-paced action and strategic gameplay as they navigate through diverse environments and face formidable enemies.
The multiplayer mode has also seen substantial improvements. Titanfall 2 features six new Titans, each with unique abilities and playstyles, providing players with more options and strategies. The game also introduces new pilot abilities, such as the grappling hook, which adds a new layer of mobility and tactical depth to the gameplay. Additionally, the customization options for both Titans and pilots have been expanded, allowing players to personalize their loadouts and appearance to suit their preferences.
Community and Long-Term Support
Respawn Entertainment has emphasized their commitment to supporting the Titanfall 2 community with free content updates. This approach ensures that the player base remains cohesive and that everyone has access to new maps, modes, and features without any additional cost. The first of these updates includes the legendary Angel City map, remastered from the original Titanfall. This fan-favorite map has been enhanced with improved visuals and design tweaks to provide a fresh yet familiar experience.
Respawn explains a little more about what you can expect from the free content:
This means no splitting up the community and it all starts with the legendary Angel City map, remastered from the original Titanfall. This means once you’ve purchased Titanfall 2, your investment includes a full single player campaign, the full multiplayer maps and modes, and long-term support with no hidden costs. You can pre-order the game to play 3 days early, but it will never cost you extra.
The developers have also promised to listen to community feedback and make adjustments based on player input. This ongoing dialogue between the developers and the community is crucial for maintaining a healthy and engaged player base. Regular updates and events will keep the game fresh and exciting, encouraging players to return and continue their Titanfall 2 journey.
