Raspberry Pi enthusiasts looking for inspiration for their next project may be interested in a new mini robot created by Omkar Joglekar who has used the awesome Raspberry Pi Zero mini PC to create a tiny remote controlled truck. Omkar has used a wireless dongle to add connectivity to his RC truck but thanks to the recent launch of the Raspberry Pi Zero W, which comes supplied with integrated wireless connectivity, wireless technology is already available for use directly from the board.
Once built the platform is controlled by a keyboard connected over a Wi-Fi connection, but the project can be expanded further by adding, a console controller, autonomous operation, image recognition and anything else your imagination can come up with. If you’re interested in building your very own RC robot truck, jump over to the official Omkar Joglekar website where full instructions and all required code have been kindly published online for your viewing pleasure.
To recap the Raspberry Pi Zero W mini PC is the latest addition to the ever-growing range of Raspberry Pi systems and comes with integrated wireless technology, removing the need to add a wireless adapter yourself. Making wireless projects even easier to build with less wires and hardware required.
