Soundmatters first unveiled their new high-quality foxLv2 Platinum Bluetooth speaker system back at CEDIA earlier this month but has now officially announced they will be arriving in November and will retail for around $229.
Building on the success of their original foxL portable speaker system, which was launched back in 2008, Soundmatters has now updated their latest design with a number of new features. These updates include incorporating apt-X circuitry, so that when you stream music via Bluetooth from apt-X equipped devices such as Apple computers running Snow Leopard, Lion, or compatible Sennheiser dongles, you will now experience virtual CD quality sound.
Enhanced Features and Performance
Soundmatters has also added improved sound/picture synchronization for movies and gaming, ensuring that audio and visual elements are perfectly aligned for an immersive experience. This is particularly beneficial for gamers and movie enthusiasts who demand high-quality audio-visual synchronization. The foxLv2 Platinum Bluetooth speaker system also boasts a more powerful battery, providing 10 hours of playback with Bluetooth engaged and an impressive 20 hours of playback when running the system directly with Bluetooth turned off. The Lithium-ion BassBattery is rechargeable via USB or the included 5V universal wall charger, making it convenient for users on the go.
Design and Portability
The foxLv2 Platinum Bluetooth speaker system is designed with portability in mind. Its compact size makes it easy to carry around, whether you’re heading to a picnic, a beach outing, or simply moving from room to room in your home. Despite its small size, the speaker delivers robust sound quality, making it a favorite among audiophiles who value both performance and convenience. The sleek design and platinum finish add a touch of elegance, making it not just a functional device but also a stylish accessory.
Soundmatters has a reputation for creating high-quality audio products, and the foxLv2 Platinum Bluetooth speaker system is no exception. The inclusion of apt-X technology ensures that users can enjoy high-fidelity audio streaming, which is a significant upgrade from standard Bluetooth audio. This makes the speaker an excellent choice for those who use streaming services like Spotify, Apple Music, or Tidal, where audio quality is paramount.
