The Sony Xperia ZR is now available direct from Sony in the US, the handset is available unlocked for $499.99 and it comes in a range of colors which include white, black and pink, the mint version will be available from the 4th of September.
The Sony Xperia ZR is designed to be both dust and water proof, the handset can be submerged in up to 1.5 meters of water for up to 30 minutes.
Specifications wise the Xperia ZR comes with a 4.6 inch HD display with a resolution of 1280 x 720 pixels, the device is powered by a 1.5GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 Pro processor.
Other specifications on the Sony Xperia ZR include 2GB of RAM and 8GB of built in storage, it also features a microSD card slot which can take up to 64GB cards and a 2,300 mAh battery.
