A new and innovative in-sole has been created called SolePower which is a new kind of charger that generates energy as you walk and then be stored in a small battery.
The battery can then be connected to any of your mobile devices to help you keep them fully charged throughout the day. To learn more about the new SolePower charging in-sole watch the video below to see it in action.
The team that created the new SolePower system have been working to create a sole that will generate enough power to fully recharge and iPhone device with just 2.5 miles of walking. Which is the average distance walked by many people on a daily basis.
“SolePower is a power-generating shoe insole for charging portable electronics like cell phones, music players, or GPS devices. Foot-powered, energy harvesting devices aren’t anything new. What we’re doing differently is building the device into a removable insole so it doesn’t need to be embedded in a shoe. This means you can swap it between your favorite pair of sneakers and your hiking boots. “
The SolePower project is currently over on the Kickstarter website looking to raise enough pledges to make the jump from concept to production. So if you think SolePower is something you could benefit from, visit the Kickstarter website now to make a pledge and help SolePower become a reality.
