Shariff has created a new affordable yet powerful desktop CNC machine aptly named the Shariff DMC1 which is launched via Kickstarter this week to raise the required funds needed to make the jump from prototypes to production. Watch the demonstration video below to learn more about the desktop CNC machine, capable of machining the toughest materials and metals to industry-standard tolerances.
The Shariff DMC1 is a powerful 3-axis desktop CNC milling machine, designed with one goal in mind, t”o bring you the core capabilities of a job shop industrial CNC machine in a smaller, affordable and just as accurate form” says Shariff. Thanks to its robust steel construction and dual ball nut driven axe the Shariff DMC1 CNC machine offers accuracy and power for under $3,000.
“The DMC1’s cutting capabilities are almost unlimited. It’s not an engraving machine or a router. We’ve packed a 1500 watt (2 horsepower) precision variable frequency driven spindle, so that you can cut aluminum, steel, stainless, or even titanium… Basically anything you have a suitable end mill for. The spindle has both the torque and speed to accommodate different cutting requirements for maximum efficiency in any material. Take a look at some of the examples below. “
For more details and full specifications jump over to the official Kickstarter crowdfunding campaign page.“The DMC1 gives you the power to take rapid prototyping into your own hands. Make functional parts to accelerate your productivity, or final products for engineering applications. “
