The Scrubba Bag has been designed to be your perfect portable washing machine whilst travelling, and provide you with an easy to use method of cleaning your clothes in less than 3 minutes.
Inventor of the Scrubba Bag Ashley Newland came up with the idea for the portable washing bag after he organised a trip to climb Mount Kilimanjaro in Tanzania.
The Scrubba Bag can hold up to four litres of water and weighs just 180 grams when empty. It’s the perfect clothes washing device when a sink or bowl is just not available. Ashley explains:
“I realized that I would only be able to take a few changes of clothing and would have to wash them regularly,” – “While waterproof bags can be used to soak clothing, they really aren’t very efficient. It was then that I had the revelation that washboards have been around for centuries and they work!”
The Scrubba Bag is currently looking to raise funds to start the production of the washing machine bag. So if you think its something you could use jump over to the IndieGoGo website to make a pledge and help the concept get into production. Watch Ash one of the designers of the Scrubba bag explain how the concept works and how it came about, in the videos below.
