Back in May last year Samsung started shipping its new sleek looking 9 Series monitor. Now in preparation for CES neat week they have announced their second generation 9 Series model the S27A970, that will be showcased at CES next week.
The new Samsung 27 inch 9 Series Monitor features a higher resolution of 2560 x 1440 when compared to the previous model, together with Samsung’s Colour Expert technology. Together with 1000:1 contrast ratio, 5 ms (g2g) response time, 300 cd/m2 brightness and 178/178 viewing angles. Samsung also offers HDMI, DVI, DisplayPort, speakers, MHL (Mobile High Definition Link) and a built-in USB hub.
Samsung UK’s Neil Sawyer explains:
“Interest in user-generated content and a premium computing experience is growing as consumers are demanding products that allow them to better view, edit and share their photos, videos and entertainment content,”

Samsung’s new 9 series monitor with PLS panel, 2560×1440 pixel resolution, and a MHL port. It will be available from March 2012 for around $1200.
