Samsung Galaxy S6 Active Passes Through The FCC

Galaxy S6 Active

We have been hearing rumors about the Samsung Galaxy S6 Active for a while now and it would appear that the handset is getting closer to launch.

The Samsung Galaxy S6 Active is expected to launch with mobile carrier AT&T and the device with the model number SM-G890A recently passed through the FCC.

The handset is expected to be dust, waterproof and shock proof like the previous versions of the device and it is said to share similar specifications to the Galaxy S6 and S6 Edge.

The Samsung Galaxy S6 Active is rumored to come with a 5.1 inch Quad HD display with a resolution of 2560 x 1440 pixels and it will be powered by Samsung’s octa core Exynos 7420 processor.

Other rumores specifications on the device include 3GB of RAM and a choice of storage options, it is expected to come with a 5 megapixel front camera and a 16 megapixel rear camera, plus a 3500 mAh battery.

The handset will also come with Android Lollipop and the latest version of Samsung’s TouchWiz UI, as soon as we get some more details on the device, and a launch date for the handset, we will let you guys know.
